pastiche of horrors piecing together 50 years of the U.S.'s paranoid fear of
the rise of communism in Mexico, this video mixes footage from the 1989 film, Rojo
Amanecer's depictions of the 1968 Tlatelolco Masacre in Mexico City, as well as
recently under-reported news footage of U.S. Border Patrol murders of Mexican
youth on the Mexican side of the border. This video-mix also includes images of
uprisings for equality in Mexico surrounding the Mexican Gasoline Crisis set
against forensic animations and 3D reenactments of the Ayotzinapa, Iguala
disappearances of 43 peasant students activists in 2014. A backdrop of found
video game footage and archival animation are set throughout to a mixtape
called igualallaqueaqui by visual artist and queer-goth rapper luigi aka Jose
Luis Benavides.

cast and a 90% female crew and post-production team. This is the director's
first short film of more than 60 seconds. It was conceived as her thesis
project for her MFA in Film at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
